How to connect with an advisor
Getting started is simple. Browse our advisors, choose someone whose experience or approach feels right for you, and click the button on their profile to send them a private message.
Instant Agony Aunts is message-based, so you don’t need to wait for an advisor to come online. Send your message whenever it suits you, and the advisor can read and respond when they are available.
You can continue the conversation by sending further messages and asking follow-up questions whenever you need them.
Registration
You’ll need a valid email address to create an account, but you don’t have to use your real name publicly. You can choose a nickname that you’re comfortable using on the platform.
Your advisor will see your chosen name when communicating with you. Your email address is kept private and is not displayed to advisors or other users.
Pricing
Each advisor sets their own price per message, so you can see the cost before deciding who you’d like to contact.
Simply purchase credit for your account and use that credit when sending paid messages to advisors. This gives you the flexibility to choose who you speak to and how much you want to spend.
Sending messages
Messages can contain up to 500 characters. This helps keep conversations focused and makes it easier for advisors to respond to individual questions or points.
